In early 1997, we reported that Shimadzu Scientific Instruments had sued several customers. We noted at the time that it probably wasn't the last time that Shimadzu would file suit against one of their valued customers. In an effort to continue with their bellicose ways, Shimadzu then filed suit against REM International while also engaged in a projected legal battle with ChemEnco Inc. Incredible as it may seem once again, Shimadzu has not yet changed their suing ways as noted below! Shimadzu noted that "if Atlas Iron Processors, Inc. chooses to make payment by VISA or Mastercard, a five (5%) processing fee will be added to the account." How nice of them!

Shimadzu service work was allegedly perfomed on a GVM-514 (whatever the hell that is) for $3920.00 by technician Richard Young. In addition to excessive fees charged for silicone grease ($21), vacuum pump ($3,050), valve ($300), auxiliary valve ($350), fan heater ($166), and heater ($61), Shimadzu was also seeking $603.00 for travel expenses. At these rates, the service tech must have travelled first class and stayed at the local Ritz Carlton hotel! Weren't there any local service techs who could perform this work more economically?

(Many would agrue correctly that President Bill Clinton is a hound dog in heat.... we believe that Mr. Halperin is closely related to the president!)
